Steve, a friend of mine, had been hand-crafting amazing solid steel mousepads for friends for several months, and decided he wanted to turn his passion into a business. I offered to create a showcase and e-commerce site for him. It was a massive success, so much so that he had to pull back a little, because the workload was so high. He’s still making them, though, and has some new product ideas and materials in the pipelike.
